Waterborne basecoat system
In the 20th century, the world environment has suffered from the progressive solvent emission from all industries.
In 2002; KAPCI COATINGS decided to cope with the international trend to solve this problem by developing environmental friendly systems such as high solid acrylic polyurethane topcoats and clear coat; ultra high solid clear coat and Waterborne basecoat system using water soluble components and succeeded in 2007 to launch this waterborne basecoat system that represents state of the art and simplicity which not only meets the environmental aspects but also satisfy the highest performance in refinish systems.
This system is simple in its application as the color preparation is a mix of 2 components only which are pigment toners and special diluents, unique as it reduced the drying time for waterborne basecoat to be comparable to the solvent based one, excellent in optical, physical and chemical properties, and cost saving because of its high pigment load it has maximum opacity in only 2 coats instead of 3 in traditional systems.
